Agile retrospective is a way for teams to reflect on previous projects or task they have done. To see improvements and what went wrong. There are many names for this, and people do this often in many fields of work. Its like a meeting, that happens frequently. Usually in “sprints” or agile incremental development. Like in a sprint, task are assigned for short times, and afterwards a meeting will be held and the team can review their progress and how things went. They can then improve accordingly based on the meeting. It is important so the team can know the progress and where to improve. Without everyone knowing of the status, things can get disorganized and confusing for some team members.

When you are working in an Agile environment you are continuously working to improve just as is stated in the Agile Manifesto “At regular intervals, the team reflects on how to become more effective, then tunes and adjusts its behavior accordingly.” During the agile retrospective, it is important that all team members at the end of each iteration give feedback and comments on how that specific iteration could have gone better and what could be improved on. The agile retrospective is a meeting at the end of each of the iterations that can gather data and get better as a team and then put that data into action to improve on the next iteration.

Hi Professor Flores,
Agile retrospective is a meeting that is held at the end of a project to either discuss the success or failure of that project in addition to future improvements that can be taken to become more effect in the next project. The goal of the agile retrospective is to identify risks early within the project, help improving and fostering a work culture where everyone can share their views and admit to mistakes, improve team efficiency, encourage collaboration, communication, and trust.
The agile retrospective is used through a five-stage approach. This includes:
Set the stage – Setting up and inviting concerned people to the meeting
Gather data – Actions taken, results, decisions made, milestones accomplished during the project.
Generate insights – For example, understanding the root causes of a project failure and seek new possibilities.
Decide what to do – Selecting actions that will make an improvement to the way the team work together.
Closing – Providing a clear end to the retrospective through motivation. In other words, thanking the team for their efforts during the retrospective.

In Agile software development, an Agile retrospective is a meeting held at the conclusion of each iteration. The team focuses on what happened in the iteration and identifies actions for future improvement during the retrospective. The Agile
